We are a Recognised Scottish Charity involved in research into Cardiomyopathy and all heart diseases and have successfully lobbied to have a professionally manned screening unit located at Hampden Park which can test all young athletes and also families at risk of heart disorders. We are involved across Scotland, but more especially in the Scottish Borders, in the provision and installation of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in communities in PAD (Public Access Defibrillation) Schemes to save lives in rural and urban areas.
We are a Recognised Scottish Charity set up in 1997 and involved in awareness about and research into Cardiomyopathy in all its forms, along with other heart disorders. Our original aim was to raise funds to put a professional screening unit on the road to travel around organisations such as football clubs, rugby clubs and hockey clubs to test young athletes and to test and screen families at risk. We also now are involved in the distribution of AEDs (automated external defibrillators) in communities.
